Changes coming to the Haz Waste Program website at the end of 2024

A computer sits on a desk with a dark blue and white streaked background that reads "Website changes coming end of 2024"

On December 19, 2024, the Haz Waste Program’s website will move from kingcountyhazwasteWA.gov to be integrated into kingcounty.gov.

As a website visitor, you will see changes aimed at improving your user experience, including streamlined content and easier navigation to get you to the information you are seeking faster.

What to Expect

New look: The website will have a new look that integrates the Haz Waste Program brand into the King County website design.

New URL and redirects: Our main URL is expected to change at the end of 2024. We’ll share more details soon. Redirects will be in place to ensure you as a website user can find information without interruption.

Streamlined content:
There will be fewer pages to shift through, and it will be easier to complete key actions like locating a hazardous waste collection site, finding safer alternatives to hazardous products, and discovering the latest news about our Program.
