Community Attendance Support Team

The King County Community Attendance Support Team (CAST) is a county-level Community Engagement Board, facilitated by the King County Superior Court Becca Program.

The Community Attendance Support Team (CAST) aims to lift school attendance and lower drop out numbers. Meetings between students, families, schools, and community agencies help. We can share attendance barriers and solutions. Parents and school districts can make a CAST referral after a student has unexcused absences from school. This may prevent a truancy petition. The CAST is available to any student with a truancy petition in King County.
