Temporary flight restrictions for Seafair Air Show

TFRs in place at various times July 30 to August 2

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) in the Seattle area for the Seafair Air Show. These TFRs will be in place at various times from July 30 to August 2. These restrictions will affect aircraft operations at King County International Airport-Boeing Field and surrounding airspace.

TFR Details

There will be two levels of TFRs in place.

  • Two nautical mile (2NM) Ring TFR – Surface to 5,000 MSL
  • Five nautical mile (5NM) Ring TFR – Surface to 16,000 MSL

When the larger 5NM TFR is in effect, Boeing Field will be closed to all aircraft, with exceptions for:

  • Airshow aircraft
  • Aircraft declaring an emergency
  • Medevac or Life Flight aircraft
