A man in King County jail custody died on Oct. 28 while receiving palliative care at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The 74-year-old was transferred to the hospital from the King County Correctional Facility around 7:45 p.m. for the treatment of serious, ongoing medical conditions and passed away late that evening. The man had been in custody since early 2022.
