NOTICE OF RULEMAKING – BOH 26-02

A Regulation to Revise the Pet Business Fee Schedules for

Environmental Health Permits and Services

 

Pursuant to its authority under RCW 70.05.060, the King County Board of Health hereby gives notice of proposed rulemaking to amend certain Board of Health Code provisions governing fees for environmental health permits and services.

 

The proposed amendments would revise the fees for operating permits and plan reviews for pet business establishments and activities regulated by Public Health – Seattle and King County.  The fee revisions are the result of recommendations following an in-depth analysis of the costs of the department's regulatory services and the fees charged for pet business permits and plan reviews. 

 

A public hearing on the proposed rule at which the public may state their views orally or in writing will be held during the regular meeting of the King County Board of Health, October 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Metropolitan King County Council Chambers, 10th floor, Courthouse, 516 Third Avenue, Seattle, WA.  Remote public testimony on Zoom will also be accepted.  Information on the public hearing can be found at this website: https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/council/governance-leadership/county-council/committees.
