Annual bee festival returns to West Seattle
The West Seattle Bee Garden's yearly pollinator party takes place at High Point Commons Park.
The West Seattle Bee Festival is buzzing back this weekend on Saturday, May 16, from noon to 3 p.m., at the West Seattle Bee Garden, bringing together family-friendly activities, live bee demonstrations and local organizations focused on pollinators, gardening, and sustainable practices.
The free festival is a fun opportunity for residents to learn more about the important role bees and other pollinators play in supporting healthy ecosystems and food systems. Visitors can explore educational booths, connect with local environmental groups and pick up tips on creating pollinator-friendly gardens at home.
The event also highlights growing concerns about declining bee populations and how everyday choices to limit the use of toxic products can make a difference. Experts at the festival will share practical ways residents can support pollinators, including reducing pesticide use and using natural yard care practices that help create healthier habitats for bees and other beneficial insects.
