About the Department of Local Services
We serve as the “city hall” for some 250,000 residents in unincorporated parts of King County. These include Skyway, White Center, the Snoqualmie Valley, greater Maple Valley, the Enumclaw Plateau, and Vashon Island—all told, an area larger than the state of Rhode Island.
We have about 550 employees across our Road Services and Permitting divisions and our various community programs.
Come work with us!
Would you like to serve the residents of unincorporated King County? We value diverse perspectives and life experiences, and we encourage people of all backgrounds to apply.
