2025 Update to the 2024 Comprehensive Plan, as amended
On December 2, 2025, the King County Council adopted the 2025 update to the 2024 Comprehensive Plan via Ordinance 20024. This was the first update to the 2024 Comprehensive Plan and adopted a required update to King County’s Critical Areas Ordinance.
On December 10, 2024, the King County Council adopted the 2024 Comprehensive Plan via Ordinance 19881. This was a 10-year periodic update to the plan required by the Growth Management Act. Highlights of the update are summarized on the Plan History and Archive page. The adopted plan and related documents are provided below.
