King County has embarked on a project to replace the aging Pet Adoption Center in Kent with a new facility. The project, which will renovate a warehouse into a modern animal care center, is expected to take about 15 months, and should be complete in 2027. Progress continues on a new site for Regional Animal Services. King County is renovating a former warehouse in the Kent Valley into a new, modern animal shelter that will replace RASKC’s current facility. The new center is expected to open in early 2027. Read more at Tails From RASKC.
