Community Advisory Committee for Law Enforcement Oversight
The Community Advisory Committee for Law Enforcement (CACLEO) offers input on law enforcement policies and procedures. It advises the King County Sheriff's Office (Sheriff's Office) and King County Council on equity and social justice in policing. It also provides public resources on alleged police misconduct and does outreach to communities served by the Sheriff's Office.
CACLEO is currently recruiting new members
CACLEO members must live in King County and should reflect the diversity of communities served by the Sheriff's Office. Current openings on CACLEO include multiple positions for people living in:

- Sheriff's Office contract service jurisdictions: Carnation, Sammamish, Skykomish, Woodinville, Beaux Arts Village, Covington, Maple Valley, Muckleshoot Tribe, Newcastle, Burien, SeaTac, Kenmore, Shoreline.
About CACLEO
The committee offers input on law enforcement policies and procedures. It advises the Sheriff's Office and Council on equity and social justice in policing. It also provides public resources on alleged police misconduct and does outreach to communities served by the Sheriff's Office.
The committee includes up to 11 members who represent the diversity of the Sheriff's Office service area.
The County Executive appoints members of the CACLEO. They're subject to Council confirmation. Committee members serve 3-year terms. Reappointments are for one additional term.
