About the airport
King County International Airport-Boeing Field (KCIA) is owned by King County and managed by the county's Department of Executive Services. It's one of the busiest general aviation airports in the U.S.
The airport is located four miles south of downtown Seattle. The airport serves small commercial passenger airlines, cargo carriers, private pilots, corporate jets, helicopters, and military aircraft. It's also home to various Boeing Company operations and the Museum of Flight.
The airport receives no general tax dollars. It's financed by rents, fees, and some Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) resources.
