Our reduced, $49 monthly individual Vanpool fare—offered to eligible riders who live or work in King County and meet income-based qualifications—is a special value you don't want to miss. Join an existing Metro Vanpool or apply to be a volunteer driver and form your new Metro Vanpool with only two other commuters to start!

Do you qualify for the reduced fare pilot?

  • You must live or work in King County and make $25 or less per hour.
  • This special reduced vanpool fare is available to qualified commuters for one year or while funding lasts.
  • Participants need to sign up before December 31, 2024 to take full advantage of this great deal for an entire year!
  • Please note, you may be asked to provide income information more than once.

Sign up for Vanpool, no matter your income

If you make above the income limits for our reduced $49 pilot fare, you can still start or join a vanpool for a low monthly fare; area employers also offer vanpool fare subsidies; ask your HR team.
