KC YouthWorks is a program housed in the Executive Office’s Community & Service Response Team (CSRT). The program supports young people ages 16–24 in building safer, brighter, and opportunity filled futures.

What We Do

YouthWorks connects young people, especially those most impacted by systemic inequities, to opportunities across King County departments, ensuring they have meaningful access to support, services, and pathways to careers.

Our goal is to help young people explore careers, develop skills, and confidently take their next steps toward long-term success.

Launched under King County Executive Zahilay’s leadership, YouthWorks was created to:

  • Expand opportunities for young people to pursue well-paid, meaningful careers
  • Increase access to County government and professional networks
  • Strengthen prevention efforts and improving access to services and employment
  • Ensure youth most affected by systemic inequities receive effective support
  • Bring all youth opportunities across King County into one place, making it easier for young people to find and access programs that match their goals
