Temporary closures of Runway 14R/32L coming this month

Most work will happen overnights from July 18 through July 29

Runway 14R/32L, also known as the main runway at King County International Airport-Boeing Field, will be closed several times in July for stormwater work, electrical work, and preventative maintenance. Most of these closures will happen overnight, but one will take place in the morning on July 20.

In addition, the small runway (Runway 14L/32R) will soon be fully closed for an extended period of time for other projects. Details on that work will be posted as soon as they are available.

Below are the planned closure times for Runway 14R/32L. As always, airport users should check NOTAMs for the most up-to-date information. All times indicated below are local Pacific time.

  • Thursday, July 18, 9:45 p.m. to Friday, July 19, 3:15 a.m.
  • Friday, July 19, 9:45 p.m. to Saturday, July 20, 5 a.m.
  • Saturday, July 20, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. *NOTE daytime closure*
  • Saturday, July 20, 9:45 p.m. to Sunday, July 21, 7 a.m.
  • Sunday, July 21, 9:45 p.m. to Monday, July 22, 5 a.m.
  • Thursday, July 25, 9:45 p.m. to Friday, July 26, 3:15 a.m.
  • Friday, July 26, 9:45 p.m. to Saturday, July 27, 5 a.m.
  • Saturday, July 27, 9:45 p.m. to Sunday, July 28, 7 a.m.
  • Sunday, July 28, 9:45 p.m. to Monday, July 29, 5 a.m.
