Council Chair McDermott responds to today’s State of the County Address

Joe McDermott, chair of the Metropolitan King County Council released this statement in regards to today’s state of the County Address from County Executive Dow Constantine:

“In a matter of days, the light rail expansion has already exceeded ridership expectations.

“We now have the opportunity to expand this service, ease congestion, and grow our economy. I'm excited to work with Executive Constantine to bring light rail to West Seattle and Ballard, and build the existing lines to Tacoma and Everett. And I'm committed to working to deliver this service as soon as possible.”
