NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PROPOSED ORDINANCE 2022-0297

 

This public hearing notice is posted by the King County Council as required in RCW chapter 36.96. The notice will be posted July 28, 2026, through August 18, 2026. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a public hearing will be held before the Metropolitan King County Council on the 18th day of August, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. to consider adoption of Proposed Ordinance: 2022-0297, which will determine whether King County Fire Protection District No. 24 is inactive and whether it should be dissolved. A public hearing is planned for this proposed ordinance to be held at the King County Courthouse, 516 3rd Ave, Room 1001, Seattle, Washington. Remote public testimony on Zoom will also be accepted. Information on the public hearing and how to submit public testimony can be found at this website: https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/council/governance-leadership/county-council/committees/county-council-meetings. The full Council may take final action on this proposed ordinance at the August 18, 2026, meeting following the public hearing.

 

SUMMARY:

Proposed Ordinance 2022-0297 if adopted will:

  • Make a finding that King County Fire Protection District No. 24 is inactive
  • Dissolve King County Fire Protection District No. 24
