“To me, a healthy community means people have access to things that contribute to their well-being, like arts, culture, nature, and physical activity,” said Councilmember Balducci. “By investing in these great community organizations, the King County Council is helping to provide opportunities to get outdoors, move and be healthy.”
Councilmember Balducci’s 2019-2020 Get Active Stay Active grants support 19 youth, senior, housing, and cultural organizations across District 6, including:
- Bellevue: Bellevue College, City of Bellevue, Downtown Action to Save Housing, India Association of Western Washington, Newport Sammamish Interlake Girls Lacrosse Program, Rainier Athletes, Sammamish Interlake Lacrosse Club, WheelLab
- Kirkland: City of Kirkland, Imagine Housing, Kirkland American Little League, Old Friends Club, Tennis Outreach Programs, UPower
