LJuCR 2.4. Procedure at Initial Shelter Care Hearing

Local Juvenile Court Rule - Shelter Care Proceedings

    (a) Inform Parties of Rights. In addition to informing parties of their rights as provided by statute, the court will inform children who have a statutory or LJuCR 2.0 right to counsel of that right.
    (b) Hearing and Decision. The court may order the case set for mediation, settlement conference, or other alternative dispute resolution process and may adjust the case schedule as necessary to accommodate the ADR schedule.
