Not accepted at hazardous waste collection sites

Potentially explosive materials are not accepted at hazardous waste collection sites or at recycling and disposal stations. Please contact the Haz Waste Help Line at 206-296 4692 or haz.waste@kingcounty.gov for information on safe disposal.

Potentially explosive materials, including dynamite, ethyl ether, picric acid and others, may be unstable. Under no circumstances should you attempt to open, handle or transport them.
