King County Healthy Buildings Program
The Healthy Buildings program funds building improvements to improve indoor air quality in homes located in communities near the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
About the Healthy Buildings Program
During the first half of 2025, King County will fund building improvements to improve indoor air quality in homes located in communities near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. This program is open to single family homeowners and renters, adult family homes, and family home child cares.
In order to be eligible for this program, an applicant must be:
- Located in the Healthy Buildings Program community service area, defined as within a 10-mile radius of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (please see map below).
- Have a household income at or below 80% of Area Median Income, unless an adult family home.
- Adult family home applicants must be licensed by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, with a priority given to AFH serving a high proportion of clients supported by Medicaid.
- Family Home Child Care applicants must be licensed by the Washington State Department of Youth and Families, with a priority given to FHCC serving low-income families.
King County will cover 100% of installation costs of the building upgrades including insulation, weatherization, ventilation, and some home appliances.
