Some King County Metro Transit buses continue to run late this morning due to operating with chains and widespread traffic congestion. Also, some buses are very full and are not able to stop to pick up more passengers at some stops.

Transit staff are working to update the Metro Online Web site as rapidly as possible, but conditions are changing quickly and it is difficult to keep route status up to date. Metro apologizes for the inconvenience and work has begun to improve the delivery of information on bus status during adverse weather.

The snowfall at the beginning of the morning commute caused some buses to depart late from transit bases as crews worked to quickly chain up the coaches. This, and traffic delays, was the cause of many of the transit disruptions.
