Story
"This is a key milestone. For the past 12 years, King County has been a partner in regional work to clean up legacy pollution in the Lower Duwamish Waterway.
"This area is home to some of our most diverse neighborhoods. It sustains eagles, herons, and river otters. It's an economic engine that supports nearly 100,000 jobs - about eight percent of the total employment in King County.
"It's time to finalize a reasonable, responsible, and achievable plan so we can complete cleanup of the waterway, and prevent its recontamination."
