The state Supreme Court today unanimously reaffirmed that our anti-discrimination laws apply to everyone, in every circumstance. This is another step in our long journey to protect the rights and dignity of all people. Rob Ingersoll and Curt Freed had been longtime customers of Arlene’s Flowers, but were refused service for their wedding based on their sexual orientation. While the business owner has vowed to continue legal action, I hope that others will see and take to heart this unequivocal vindication of the rights of all Washingtonians.
