Update: Construction work continuing through Friday, Feb. 6
King County Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD) is continuing work on Discovery Park Boulevard to repair a dip in the roadway. Construction crews continue making progress and will continue working to reopen the roadway as soon as possible.
With rain coming soon, work is expected to continue for another week through Friday, Feb. 6. Final work activities include restoring environmental conditions and repaving the roadway. Roadway paving is weather dependent and should take place during dry conditions to allow materials to set properly. If paving happens when it's too wet, it can hurt the quality and may require costly repairs.

Located next to Discovery Park in Seattle, West Point Treatment Plant (West Point) began operating in 1966. West Point cleans more wastewater each day than any other plant in Washington. Approximately 90 million gallons of wastewater per day are treated at the facility during the dry months. Seattle’s combined stormwater/wastewater sewer system also flows into West Point.
