King County Traffic Safety Coalition
The Traffic Safety Coalition, also known as the King County Target Zero Task Force, works collaboratively with traffic safety and community partners to create equitable traffic safety programs and plans to reduce collisions, injuries, and fatalities in King County.

The coalition operates under a three-year strategic plan and is governed by a steering committee that outlines the priority areas of focus for traffic safety work in King County. The coalition also supports the state's Strategic Highway Safety Plan: Target Zero — a data-driven strategic plan developed by Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
Activities
- Providing traffic safety education to the public and high risk groups
- Educating coalition members on traffic safety trends and issues
- Providing a venue for people interested traffic safety to network and collaborate
- Tracking traffic crash data and adjusting program activities to address needs
- Coordinating multi-jurisdictional patrols to enforce Washington's DUI, speed, seatbelt and other networks
