Call for Members to Form Pro and Con Committees for April 2025 Ballot Measures
When a jurisdiction places a measure on the ballot, members of the public are appointed to pro and con committees. These committees prepare statements either in favor of or in opposition to the ballot measure. These statements are published in the local voters’ pamphlet, and help voters make informed decisions.
If no committee is appointed by the jurisdiction, King County Elections can appoint committee members if any come forward.
No one has come forward for both the pro and con committees for the following measures:
- King County Fire Protection District No. 45, Proposition No. 1
- Woodinville Fire & Rescue, Proposition No. 1
The following measures have appointed pro committees, but no one has come forward yet to join a con committee:
- King County, Proposition No. 1
- Enumclaw School District No. 216, Proposition No. 1
- King County Fire Protection District No. 40, Proposition No. 1
Members of the committees will be responsible for:
- Submitting a pro or con statement, following all guidelines, to King County Elections by 5:00 p.m. on February 25.
- Submitting a rebuttal statement, following all guidelines, to King County Elections by 5:00 p.m. on February 27.
If you want to be a member of one of the committees listed above, please email election.services@kingcounty.gov by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 24.
