Call for Members to Form Pro and Con Committees for Ballot Measure

When a jurisdiction places a measure on the ballot, members of the public are appointed to pro and con committees. These committees prepare statements either in favor of or in opposition to the ballot measure. These statements are published in the local voters’ pamphlet, and help voters make informed decisions. If no committees are appointed by the jurisdiction, King County Elections can appoint committee members if any come forward.

The following measure seeks both a pro and a con committee:

  • King County Fire Protection District No. 47, Proposition No. 1

Members of the committees will be responsible for:

  • Submitting a pro or con statement, following all guidelines, to King County Elections by 12:00 p.m. on October 20.
  • Submitting a rebuttal statement, following all guidelines, to King County Elections by 5:00 p.m. on October 20.

If you want to be a member of one of the committees listed above, please email election.services@kingcounty.gov by 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18.
