Process server registration

A process server is a person who serves court papers on a party to a lawsuit. King County Records and Licensing Services (RALS) handles process server registration. If you wish to become a process server, either by renewing your current registration or applying for a new one, please submit the following:

  • Completed registration form
  • A copy of your valid government-issued identification
  • Payment of the $10 fee (a check or money order payable to King County Licensing; do not mail cash)

Our office is located in the King County Customer Service Center. Your completed application package can also be mailed to our office at the address below:

There is also a drop box located outside the King Street Center in Seattle's Pioneer Square neighborhood where you can deposit your materials. The drop box is located on the Jackson Street side of the building, near the main entrance.
