King County activates Emergency Operations Center for COVID-19 response
King County Executive Dow Constantine activated the King County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in response to the COVID-19 cases in King County to coordinate the work of cities across the region.

Opening a new segment of paved trail that will connect Lake Washington to Puget Sound, linking to regional trails and high-capacity transit
The new segment of King County Parks’ Lake to Sound Trail – an emerging 16-mile paved path that will connect Lake Washington to Puget Sound – will connect five South King County cities, Link light rail, King County Metro RapidRide A Line, and the Sounder Tukwila Station.

King County, City of Seattle and partners to build 232 new affordable housing units as a part of Northgate’s equitable transit-oriented development
King County, City of Seattle, BRIDGE Housing Corporation, and Capitol Hill Housing announced an agreement to build 232 affordable housing units on one of Metro’s Northgate parcels. With Sound Transit to open Link Light Rail’s Northgate station next year, the project meets regional goals of building workforce housing near transit.

King County, Seattle Foundation partner with 17 organizations to improve health, social, and economic outcomes
New partnerships funded by King County and Seattle Foundation will help address inequities in housing, health and economic opportunity. 17 nonprofits/partnerships will receive $4.15 million over the next two years to promote change in policies and systems towards increased health and wellness.
