Vacancy of Position No. 2 of King County Fire Protection District No. 37

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of Commissioners of King County Fire Protection District No. 37 has a vacancy on the Board.

The inability of the Board to complete the appointment process within the allotted time period has resulted in the King County Council, pursuant to 42.12.080, assuming the responsibility to appoint a qualified person to fill the vacancy. The Board has recommended to the King County Council that the Council appoint David Scalabrini to the vacant position. He, along with other qualified applicants, will be considered by the Council to fill the vacancy.

Members of the public are invited to apply for the vacancy. To be considered for the position, interested persons must be registered to vote and reside in the District. To apply for the position, interested persons must submit a resume or short biographical statement, and a statement of interest to King County by emailing the required materials to RegionalAffairs@kingcounty.gov by no later than close of business on July 30, 2024. The King County Council will consider the applicants and make an appointment of a qualified person, who shall take office immediately upon being sworn in and posting any necessary bond.
