Late report of measles case at Seattle-Tacoma International (SEA) Airport

Actions requested

Be aware of a confirmed measles case in an adult that traveled through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) on two separate dates, November 11 and November 17, 2025.

  • Visit our measles website to view more specific information about potential areas of exposure within the airport.
  • Secondary cases would most likely occur:
    • For the November 11th SeaTac Airport exposure:  November 18 – December 2, 2025.
    • For the November 17th SeaTac Airport exposure: November 24 – December 8, 2025.
  • MMR vaccination remains the most important tool for preventing measles infections and spread from imported cases.
