King County piloted a combined sewer overflow (CSO) treatment technology with the potential to improve CSO treatment effluent quality.

The technology developed by Ovivo, USA LLC., is called the Wet Weather Rapid Treatment (RT) System. It combines coagulant addition with a silicon carbide (SiC) membrane filtration and is designed to treat Combined Sewer Overflow systems (CSO). The technology provides rapid treatment (the use of a physical barrier to remove suspended solids) and a compact footprint.

We conducted this pilot test at the West Point Treatment Plant to document process performance and design criteria.
