Stormwater Project - Phase 3

A project to repair and enhance the stormwater handling and drainage system at King County International Airport-Boeing Field starts April 7. Work will include trenchless pipe rehabilitation, open trench pipe replacement, and stormwater catch basin replacement. Work will take place in three separate areas of the airport on the west edge of Taxiway B. Work in all areas is anticipated to be complete by mid-June. There will be minimal impact on airport operations.  Stormwater work is highly weather-dependent and heavy rain would delay construction.

Working Days and Hours: Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Construction schedules:

  • Work Area 8 (Between B1 and B2): April 7 – May 2 and May 20 – June 3
  • Work Area 7 (Between B2 and B3): June 4-9
  • Work Area 3 (Between B5 and B7): April 7-9, May 5-19 and June 10-13
