Disposal facilities

We help eligible King County businesses access resources to safely dispose of hazardous waste. Find a convenient disposal location available year round, or visit the traveling Wastemobile which operates seasonally. There are no fees to use these disposal services.

Service Alert: Due to flooding in the area, the Auburn Wastemobile scheduled for this weekend (Dec. 20-21) is cancelled. The Auburn Wastemobile will also be closed Dec. 27–28 and Jan. 3-4, 2026 for the holidays. The next Auburn Wastemobile events will be held January 10-11, 2026. All other King County hazardous waste collection sites will maintain operating hours as scheduled.

Business-qualification

Does my business qualify for no-fee disposal?

- Be located in King County

- Produce less than 220lbs (about 25 gallons of hazardous waste per month

- Produce less than 2.2lbs (about a quart) of acutely hazardous waste per month

- Store less than 2,200lbs (about four 55-gallon drums) of hazardous waste

Businesses must complete the disposal form and bring two printed copies to their designated drop-off location.

Factoria

Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The hazardous waste facility is located at the Factoria Transfer Station. Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.
Auburn

1101 Outlet Collection Way, Auburn, WA 98001

Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Auburn Wastemobile location is open on weekends, year-round. Marine flares are not accepted at this location. Located near the loading dock of Nordstrom Rack. In 2025, this location is closed Dec. 20-21 and Dec. 27-28, 2025. It is also closed Jan. 3-4, 2026 and will return to regular operations Jan. 10-11, 2026.
